If you dont want to wait for gem codes then you could try this:
1. Make a fake email adress
2. Click invite friends and write the email you made
3. Then of course check your email, cick accept
4. The link will take you to ourWorld
5. Then you become a member and get to level 5
6. After your done with that you should have 5 gems
7. Then your free to get as many gems as you want
8. After that you wont need an email and you can become a guest randomly and it will say they excepted an invantation from you and you just have to get them to level 5
9. Sounds hard but its worth it ;)
